Champions Trophy Final 2017 India vs Pak
This year belongs to Pakistan cricket. During February – March 2017,
Pakistan played the spectacular Champions Trophy 2017 tournament.
Entering the tournament as 8th ranked ODI team, Pakistan dint started
well in the tournament, but was able to grip the momentum of winning
with the second match. Qualifying for the final by beating England in
semi final, the Pakistan team emerged as mighty and thrashed arch rivals
India in final contest by 180 runs. Pre match and post match news of the

The spark of 2016’s popular Panama case continued to grip the countrymen

series played between World XI players and Pakistan XI teams. The
tournament was held in Lahore titled “Independence Cup”. Pakistan
successfully hosted and won the tournament, thus winning the trust of

Sending Friend Request on Facebook is Harassment
Oscar winner Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy came into hot waters after her
statement regarding harassment by sending friend request on Face book.
Her tweet created a stir among Pakistan and they criticized her on
social media for exaggerating the term ‘harassment’. Her statement came
as a reaction when a private hospital’s doctor added her sister on Face

T10 Cricket League starts
Format of cricket is shortened to 10 overs game only with the launch of
T10 Cricket League. Cricketers from all over the world are participating
in the tournament which is held between 14th till 17th December 2017.
Teams participating in the tournament are Pakhtoons, Punjabi Legends,
Kerala Kings, Bengal Tigers, Maratha Arabians, and Team Sri Lanka
cricket are included. Each game takes approximately 90 minutes to finish
which is half the length of a T20 fixture.

Jahangir Tareen disqualified – Kaptaan safe
The most awaited verdict of Supreme Court of Pakistan was out! The
petition filed by PML-N’s Hanif Abbasi requesting disqualification of
PTI Chairman Imran Khan and General Secretary Jahangir Tareen on various
grounds. However, Imran Khan qualifies for the elections whereas
Jahangir Tareen is disqualified. The news became viral and mixed
response is witnessed of public and media on the decision.

nearly four years
It was quiet unusual for Karachi to experience a hail storm. After
nearly four years, the city experienced a surprising hail storm at about
4:30 AM on 18 December 2017. This was the first winter rain in Karachi
and hail was witnessed at many locations including Clifton, Saddar, DHA,
Kharadar, Shahrae Faisal, II Chundrigar Road, Nazimabad, Malir to name a
