Latest Huawei Patent Shows Display with Hidden Camera

The urge to make a ‘true’ full screen smart phone has led towards modification of the display of smart phone.

We have witnessed designs like periscope design, wide notch, water drop notch, pop-up, and camera design.

Most recently, we got the slide-screen design along with the dual-display design. Though these designs are different, they all aim to achieve the same goal, a Full-Screen display.

Samsung announced its new Infinity-O panel in which the front camera is hidden in the display, few days ago. Now, a new patent, probably from Huawei shows a similar design with some modifications.

Huawei hides the camera in the strip-shaped in-ear speaker hole unlike Samsung. According to speculations, this strip hole will accommodate the front camera and associated required sensors.

The features present in the notch will be present in the speaker strip. There is no news about authenticity of the patent from Huawei’s side. Therefore, it is difficult to verify how much honesty this patent possesses.

However, it is reported that the Samsung Galaxy S10 will be equipped with on-screen camera technology, so Huawei is likely to use a similar design on the upcoming Huawei P30 series.

There have been reports that Huawei P30 series is equipped with triple rear camera set up, powered by 7nm Kirin 980 processor.
