Oppo F5 is one of the first affordable phones with borderless screen.Being the cheeky phone, it has taken a bolder step and went for premium metal built, shifting from the plastic. The design is typically Oppo in every way. Rounded rough – edged corners that make it slim with thickness of only 7.5mm makes the design quality felt top notch.

The real attraction of Oppo F5 is at the front, where the display is of 18:9 which gives a refreshing look. Protection with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass technology adds to the premium look at the display. There is finger print sensor at the back; which unlocks the phone swiftly. Face unlocking feature is also a major attraction. The Oppo F5 comes with plenty of extras but seems to miss out on a few things, like a notification LED.

The Oppo F5 sports an FHD full screen which is upsize and full definition, beyond your expectation. It is a mid range classic 6 inches sharp screen display with resolution of 2,160x1, 080 pixels with 16 million colors.Since edge to edge display at a ratio of 18:9 trend is followed by OPPO F5, the user can entertain from sharp crisp of display while playing games or using Netflix. Touch response is accurate images and text appears in perfect clarity.
The 6 inches large screen is amazing for perfect gaming experience and there is enough space on the bottom and top of screen to place your thumbs on landscape. You can even watch movie or TV show on a cinema style 2:35 flick, with perfect viewing angles and perfect panel quality.
Perfect All-Rounder Performance
In this area, OPPO has made some drastic changes. The new Oppo F5 sports a Media Tek processor, which is certainly an affordable chipset. The Helio P23, an Octa-core processor, eight Cortex-A53 running at frequency of 1.65 GHz is perfect for a mid-ranger. Paired with the Mali-G71 MP2 graphics chipset, OPPO F5 promises you outstanding graphics on screen while playing games. Normally you will find phones with the 20-core version. But theOppo F5 has the two-core version. Opps!
The SoC is paired with 4GB RAM and built in memory of 32GB. Although, it would be much better if it came out with at least 64GB for the base model, but at least it’s expandable.Gaming experience with new OPPO F5 will be smooth and fast. But in order to play high end games like Asphalt 8, you need to cut down the graphics, to run things smoothly. For heavier games like, NBA 2K17, you’re definitely going to want to turn it down to get smoother frame rates.
Operating System
Similar to other Chinese smart phones, Oppo F5 does not come with latest version of Android. The device is running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat, with a generous serving of the Color OS. This brings a sense of standardization and consistency to the user interface. This device also comes with full screen with on-screen navigation keys.
Camera
The selfie camera of Oppo F5 is outstanding with fantastic details rendering even in indoors lighting. It has an enormous 20-megapixel sensor placed on the front with higher-resolution than the one on the back.

The Oppo F5 allows you to use a depth effect on the front snapper, but this feature is absent at the back sensor. Although, it is not the best dual camera depth modes; but still performs well. There is an “Al” beauty mode that smoothes out crinkles, and make you look fresh in the picture. It also helps in avoiding the eye widening and cheekbone- chiseling that is there in other beauty modes.

The rear camera of Oppo F5 performs decently with bigger autofocus. Image quality is better, with 16 million pixel load; there is a usual limitation of a camera sensor. Details capture is outstanding in daylight, colors are well-saturated, and focusing of the camera is swift and fun to use. The Auto HDR mode is also effective.
Noise interruptions are there in low lighting, which can be turned into fairly severe image softening when you drop down to a truly dark scene. Both rear and front snappers comes with 1080p resolution for video recording.
The Oppo F5’s selfie obsession is quite appealing for youngsters and the social media-obsessed classes.
Battery & Connectivity
Powered by a 3,200 mAh, an FHD+ display and a 16 nm chipset, the users have enough reasons to worry about the battery life.
As for connectivity, 4G LTE bands, GPS for navigation, Bluetooth 4.2 for data sharing, Wi-Fi for internet browsing, and a USB port at the bottom are all equipped. We doubt about the inclusion of fast charging, as Oppo made no mention of the same during its expansive presentation at the launch.

Oppo F5 has a lot to flaunt. Featuring with an ultra-slim surround and face unlocking feature which is trending, this is certainly the best phone in this price. Oppo F5 is ultimately a selfie king that aims to display every single detail fantastically, and amazing background for better Instagram experience.
