 FBISE SSC supplementary exam in September

The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education will hold the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) supplementary examination 2014 in September. The examination will begin on September 23, according to FBISE Controller of Examinations (Conduct) Qasim Ali Kazmi. The controller of examinations said the board would receive admission forms by July 24 with normal fee and from July 25 to August 6 with double fee. He said all relevant educational institutions and private candidates should ensure that admission forms reach the board before the last date to prevent rejection. According to him, the fee to sit in the SSC-I and II examinations is Rs750 each for regular students of science, humanities and technical groups; Rs775, Rs900 and Rs1,675 for private candidates of science, humanities and technical groups respectively; Rs775, Rs900 and Rs1,675 for additional subject of science, humanities and technical groups respectively, and Rs925, Rs1,050 and Rs1,825 for improvement of marks or grades in science, humanities and technical groups respectively. Qasim Ali Kazmi said the FBISE had begun the online system for payment of fee. “This has been done to facilitate stakeholders in the country. Affiliated institutions, private or ex-students could deposit fee in any of Habib Bank Limited branches. The challan slip can be downloaded from the FBISE website i.e. www.fbise.edu.pk. A copy of challan may be attached with the covering letter/admission form. The fee could also be deposited through pay order/bank draft in favour of the FBISE controller of examinations (conduct) drawable at Islamabad,” he said. The controller of examinations said no fresh candidate except those appearing in additional subjects was allowed to sit the supplementary examination. He, however, said those intending to improve their grade or marks could do so by re-appearing in up to two subjects of their choice/entire examination as the case might be within a period of one year of passing the SSC Part-II examination. He further said the candidates, who failed in the SSC-I annual examination, could re-appear in the next SSC supplementary or annual examination or both.
