Rawalpindi: Medical entrance test for admission to medical and dental
institutions will be held here on August 31.
A meeting to review arrangements for the entrance test was held at district
coordination officer (DCO) office here on Tuesday. The meeting was presided over
by ADC (G) Imran Qureshi and attended by Sr. Administrator Officer Aqil Ahmed
Khan, City Traffic Officer (CTO) Shoaib Khurram, Secretary Regional Transport
Authority (RTA) Awais Tarar, Executive District Officer (EDO) Health Zafar Iqbal
Gondal, Director Colleges Humayun Iqbal, Resident Director Rawalpindi Arts
Council Waqar Ahmed, EDO Education Qazi Zahoor ul Haq and other officers
concerned.
The meeting reviewed traffic security parking and other arrangements for about
6,500 candidates who will appear in entry tests. The ADC (G) said Section 144
will be imposed around the examination centers and candidates will not be
allowed to bring any print material bags and cell phones with them in
examination centers. He said police will be deployed to ensure security of the
candidates and walk through gates will be placed at all centers.
He said smooth traffic flow will be ensured and special parking areas will be
made near all examination centers to facilitate the candidates.
