 Boys outsmart girls in HSSC Part-II exams

Boys of Punjab College of Information Technology, Satellite Town outsmarted girls in the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) Part II Examination of Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary (RBISE) held in May 2014. Punjab Minister for Labour and Manpower, Raja Ashfaq Sarwar was the chief guest on the occasion of declaration of result held at Government Viqar Un Nisa Girls College, Rawalpindi was also attended by Board officials, parliamentarians, educationists, students and parents. According to the result, students both boys and girls belonging to Punjab College of Information Technology, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi bagged top positions in Pre Medical, Pre Engineering, Science, Commerce and Humanities Groups. Result of this institution remained 100 per cent in all five groups. Belonging to this institution, Muhammad Nashit Khurshid (Roll No 746623) of Pre Medical Group bagged overall 1st position among both boys and girls by securing 1024 marks. The second overall position was also bagged by Talha Shakeel, (Roll No746956) of the same institution by getting 1014 marks. The third overall position was secured by Rida Nawaz, (Roll No 710400) who also belonged to Punjab College of Information Technology for Girls (PCIT), Satellite Town, Rawalpindi in the Pre Medical Group. She secured 1010 marks. Similarly, the third position among boys in Pre Medical Group was secured by Imran Shakeel brother of Talha Shakeel of the PCIT, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi. He got 994 marks with (Roll No.746830). Among girls in Pre Medical Group, Sana Fatima Raja, (Roll No.758788) followed Rida Nawaz and Zoeya Fiaz, (Roll No 734280) of PCIT, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi equally shared second position by obtaining 999 marks. Whereas, Zainab Bibi, (Roll No 713060) of Government College for Women, Chakwal got 998 marks to remain 3rd in this group. Among Boys in Pre-Engineering Group, Nauman Zia, (Roll No 749102) of PCIT, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi remained first by getting 992 marks. He was followed by Farhan Hussain, (Roll No 717381) of Kallar Kahar Science College for Boys, Kallar Kahar, who got 991 marks to secure second position. While Umar Javed, (Roll No 716730) of Wings Computer and Commerce College, Chakwal got 990 marks to remain third in this group. In Pre-Engineering Group for Girls, Rabia Fazaldad, (Roll No 734252) of PCIT, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi topped the group by achieving 986 marks. She was followed by Syeda Myra Shahid, (Roll No 734266) of PCIT, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi. She got 983 marks. She got second position. The third position was bagged by Sana Tariq, (Roll No 734260) belonging to the same institution. She got 982 marks. In Science General Group for Girls, Marium Khalil, (Roll No 734344) of PCIT, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi got 979 marks to grab first position. Sidra Babar, (Roll No 733718) of PCIT, Rawalpindi obtained 975 marks to achieve second position and Izza Aza, of PCIT, Rawalpindi remained third position by securing 962 marks. In Science General Group for Boys, Syed Ahmad ur Rahman, (Roll No 744171) of PCIT obtained first position by securing 931 marks. Muhammad Sohail, (Roll No 715993) of Government College Talagang, Chakwal got 927 marks to get second position while Hafiz Moeen Akhtar, (Roll No 723219) of Military College Jhelum, Sarai Alamgir achieved 907 marks by remaining third in this group. Punjab Minister for Labour and Manpower, Ashfaq Sarwar after announcement of result awarded medals, shields and certificates among the top position holders in all five groups. Speaking on the occasion, he congratulated the position holders for getting top positions in the board examination due to their hard work and dedication. He was all praise for the teachers of Punjab College for Information Technology, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi both boys and girls for dedicating all their efforts in teaching their students with dedication who achieved outstanding results and top positions in the examination.
