Governor approves 2% grace marks
KARACHI: Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan has
approved the plan to award 2 per cent grace marks by educational boards of Sindh
to the candidates of the secondary, higher secondary technical school
examinations held this year, in wake of the chronic-load shedding that badly
affected preparations of the students for taking their examination.
Owing to the chronic-load
shedding during the examinations the governor had earlier asked the educational
boards of the province to work out procedures so that the implications of the
load shedding could not affect the overall performance of the students.
The committee of chairman
Sindh educational boards submitted recommendations with Governor Sindh to this
affect and after considerations on the recommendations the governor approved it.
The incentive was given to
the students of the said classes in wake of the prolong load shedding and
torrential rains accompanied with thunderstorms in the province that affected
the concentrations of the students on preparations for their examinations.
