Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) announced the results of Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) Part I (XI) Annual Examination 2012 of Commerce Group (both regular and private) on Thursday.

In regular group, 31,664 students registered with the board of which 30,947 appeared in the exam. A total of 12,181 students cleared all seven papers making an over all passing percentage of 39.39. The results of 20 students were withheld in regular group by the BIEK.

The over all passing result for female students remained 52.18 per cent while that for male students remained at 31.48 per cent.

In private group, 8,828 candidates registered with the BIEK of which 8,330 appeared in the exam.

A total of 1,553 students passed in all seven papers with an overall passing result of 18.68 per cent. Results of 16 candidates were withheld in private group. The passing result for female students remained 21.09 per cent while for male students it was 21.33 per cent.
