Wazir Agha Poetry - Wazir Agha was born in the village of Wazir Kot in the Sargodha district in 1922. He knew multiple languages including Urdu, Persian and English. He developed keen interest and strong fondness for Urdu Shayari in his youth years and started composing poetry and essays.
āhista baat kar ki havā tez hai bahut
aisā na ho ki saarā nagar bolne lage
In 1944, he came across Salahuddin Ahmad who was the editor of a famous monthly magazine, Adabi Duniya. He encouraged Wazir Agha to write. He was first asked to contribute by writing essays on topics which were foreign in Urdu Literature of that time, such as economics, philosophy and psychology. Later, Agha also became the editor of Chanab magazine, Jhang.
khulī kitāb thī phūloñ-bharī zamīñ merī

In 1953, his work on "In search of happiness" was compiled as a book that opened a formal paradigm of research in Urdu literature. He exhibited excellence at composing poetry.
