Ingredients
  1. Cake batter
    2 ½ cups  flour
    8 oz butter
    1 cup sugar
    1 tbsp vanilla essence
    1 tbsp baking powder
    3 eggs
    Topping
    ½-¾ cup almonds , chopped
    3 -4 apples , sliced
    2 tsp cinnamon
    1/4 tsp cloves , ground
    ¼ tsp nutmeg , ground
    Streusel
    ¼ cup butter melted
    1 cup flour
    2/3 cup sugar
Method
  • Mix ingredients for the cake batter in a large mixing bowl until completely mixed. Spread out batter on a lightly oiled 13×9 inch baking dish. Place sliced apples on top in 2 to 3 rows slightly overlapping each other. Sprinkle cinnamon, ground cloves, and ground nutmeg on top.
    Sprinkle sliced almonds on top.  For the streusel, mix butter, flour, and sugar together with your hands until it forms small crumbles. You may need to add more flour to the mixture until you reach the desired crumbles. Sprinkle streusel on top.  Bake at 180 degrees for about 1 hour or till a skewer inserted in centre comes out clean.
