Ingredients
  1. 2 ½ cups of All-Purpose Flour (Maida)
  2. 5 tsp. Baking Powder
  3. 4 tsp. Cinnamon
  4. 2/3 cup Milk
  5. ¼ cup Sugar
  6. 2 tbsp. Raisins (Kishmish) (floured)
  7. A pinch of Salt
  8. 2 tbsp. Shortening
Method
  • Mix together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Rub in the shortening and add the milk. This will make a dough soft enough to be rolled on floured pastry board. Sprinkle with the cinnamon and raisins. Roll out to a thickness of ½ inch. Cut in pieces 1 ½ inches long.
  • Place in greased pan. Bake in hot oven for about 25 minutes.
