Ingredients
  1. Oven temp: 400 F-204 C
  2. 2 cups refined flour
  3. 1 tsp dry yeast
  4. 1 tsp sugar
  5. 1 tbsp olive oil
  6. 1 tsp salt
  7. lukewarm water to knead the dough
  8. a greased baking tray
Method
  • 1. Dissolve sugar in 1/2 cup lukewarm water and sprinkle yeast over it.
  • 2. Leave in a draught-free place till it froths a little.
  • 3. Mix the sugar, oil, and salt into the flour and then knead into a soft dough.
  • 4. Cover with a wet cloth and leave to rise in a draught-free place.
  • 5. When it doubles, punch it and leave to rise again.
  • 6. Roll dough flat, to 1/8" thick. Roll like a swiss roll and shape into a long roll.
  • 7. Place on the greased tray and leave to rise for 15-20 minutes.
  • 8. Brush with some salted water and bake in a pre-heated oven for about 20 minutes.
