  1. 3 tbsp. Vegetable Shortening
  2. 2 cups Confectioners' Sugar
  3. 1/3 cup Whole Milk
  4. 3 ounces Unsweetened Chocolate
  5. ¼ tsp. Salt
  6. 1 tsp. Vanilla
Method
  • Melt vegetable shortening and chocolate in a saucepan over low heat.
  • Stir in remaining ingredients; beat until smooth.
  • Place pan of frosting in bowl of ice and water; continue beating until of spreading consistency. If desired, stir in ½ cup finely chopped nuts.
