Ingredients
  1. 250 gm Gram flour
  2. 1 Onion
  3. 4 Green chilies
  4. 1 tsp Garlic paste
  5. 1 tsp leveled Salt
  6. 1 tsp heaped Chili powder
  7. 1/4 tsp Turmeric
  8. for gravy
  9. 1/2 cup Oil
  10. 1 Onion chopped
  11. 1/2 cup Yogurt
  12. 1 tsp Chili powder.
  13. 1/4 tsp Turmeric.
  14. 1/2 tsp Garlic paste.
  15. 1/2 tsp Salt.
  16. 1/2 tsp All spice
  17. 2 tsp Coriander powder
  18. 2 tbsp Coriander leaves chopped
Method
  • For Khandviyan:
  • In a blender put 1 chopped onion, 4 green chilies, 1 tsp garlic paste, ¼ tsp turmeric, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp chili powder and 250 gm gram flour with ½ cup water, blend to form it into a medium consistency paste, put this mixture in a pan and cook stirring all the time till thick and forms into a dough, grease a tray, spread this mixture, level and cut into strips, keep aside.
  • For Gravy:
  • Heat ½ cup oil, add 1 chopped onion, fry till light golden, add ½ tsp garlic paste, ¼ tsp turmeric, ½ tsp salt, 1 tsp chili powder and 2 tsp coriander powder, add ¼ cup water, fry well, add ½ cup beaten yogurt, now add 1 to 1 ½ cup water, when gravy starts boiling, add khandviya with ½ tsp all spice powder and 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves, cook for 5 minutes and remove.
