Ingredients
  1. 500 grams mincemeat or kheema
  2. 1 slice of bread
  3. 4 tblsps cream
  4. a few tblsps ghee
  5. 1 large onion
  6. 4 flakes garlic (chopped)
  7. 1 piece ginger (chopped)
  8. 2 handfuls coriander leaves
  9. 12 mint leaves
  10. 4 green chillies
  11. 1 thIsp each of gram masala and coriander powder
  12. 100 grams cashew nuts
  13. 25 grams almonds (blanched)
  14. 25 grams peanuts (roasted)
  15. a few dry plums
  16. 2 eggs (beaten)
  17. 1 large cup bread-crumbs oil or ghee for frying
  18. silver foil
Method
  • Boil the kheema in salted water till tender and dry. Soak bread in cream till soft. Fry the onion and garlic and grind to a paste along with the ginger, coriander leaves, mint, green .chillies, garam masala, coriander powder and all the nuts. Now mix in the creamed bread till smooth. Form the mixture into round balls, each around a whole plum, then dip in egg, roll in crumbs and deep fry till golden-brown. Drain, cover with foil and serve hot, along with a chutney of your choice.
