INGREDIENTS

500 grams liver (cut into cubes)
2 medium-sized onions
4 flakes garlic
1 piece ginger
2 piece dry coconut
1 lap poppy-seeds
1/2 cup gbee
a tittle milk
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tblsp each of garam masala, coriander powder and powdered cumin seeds
salt and chilli powder to taste
2 tomatoes (blanched and sliced)
2 cups coconut milk
1 handful coriander leaves (chopped)

METHOD

Grind the onion, garlic, ginger, coconut and poppy-seeds to a paste. Heat the ghee and fry the ground paste, sprinkling a little milk now and then till the ghee floats, to the top. Add the liver and fry to a red color. Add all the spices, salt and tomatoes, and cook till dry. Pour in coconut milk and cook till the liver is done. Serve garnished with fresh coriander leaves.
