Ingredients
  1. 1 kg Bottle gourd
    1/2 Cup Sugar
    250 gm Khoya
    1 tbsp Semolina
    1 tbsp each Almonds and pistachio sliced
    1/4 tsp Saffron
    1/4 tsp Green food color (powder)
    1/2 tsp Green cardamom powder
Method
  • Peel 1 kg bottle gourd and grate, in pan fill water, add 1/4
    tsp green color and grated bottle gourd, boil for 10 minutes, drain, cool and add
    100 gm sugar. Mix well. In a wok add 250gm khoya and cook over low flame,
    continuously stirring for about 10 minutes, add 1 tbsp semolina and immediately
    remove from fire, cool completely. In another pan add boiled bottle gourd with ½
    cup sugar, fry well, then add 1/4 tsp saffron and ½ tsp cardamom powder, now
    add in the khoya mixture, mix well, remove in a greased tray, level it,
    sprinkle top with 1 tbsp each almonds and pistachio, keep in fridge, cut into
    pieces and serve.
