Ingredients
  1. 100 grams mushrooms
  2. 500 grams peas (shelled)
  3. 250 grams onions
  4. 1 piece ginger
  5. 100 grams oil or ghee
  6. 50 grams cashewnuts (pounded)
  7. 25 grams almonds (blanched and ground)
  8. a few tsp milk
  9. 1 tsp garam masala
  10. 1 tsp cumin seeds (pounded)
  11. salt and chilli powder to test
  12. 100 grams cream
  13. a few sprigs coriander leases (chopped)
Method
  • Grind the onions and ginger to a paste. Heat the ghee and fry the nuts and onion paste to a rich golden colour, sprinkling a little milk now and then to prevent it from burning. Add the garam masala, cumin, salt and chilli powder. along with the mushrooms and peas. Now add a cup of water and cook till the vegetables are almost done. Mix in the cream. Remove from fire when the vegetables are cook¬ed and the gravy thick. Serve hot, garnished with fresh coriander leaves.
