  1. FOR PIZZA CRUST
  2. Plain flour 2 Ounce (60 Grams)
  3. Self-raising flour 2 Ounce (60 Grams)
  4. Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  5. Dry mustard 1⁄4 Teaspoon (Leveled)
  6. Cayenne pepper 1 Pinch
  7. Butter/Margarine 1 Ounce (30 Grams)
  8. Egg 1
  9. Milk 2 Tablespoon
  10. Butter 2 Teaspoon
  11. FOR FILLING
  12. Olive oil 1 Tablespoon
  13. Steak 4 Pound, finely minced (250 Grams)
  14. Tomatoes 3 Medium, coarsely chopped
  15. Anchovies 4 Tablespoon, finely chopped
  16. Onion 1 Large, finely chopped
  17. Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm)
  18. Celery 1 Tablespoon, chopped
  19. Parsley 1 Tablespoon, chopped
  20. Sharp cheese 1⁄4 Pound, grated (125 Grams)
Method
  • GETTING READY
  • 1) Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  • MAKING
  • 2) Pizza crust : In a bowl, sift the flours, salt, mustard and cayenne together.
  • 3) Rub in the butter or margarine, until the mixture is crumbly.
  • 4) In a bowl, beat the egg and milk together.
  • 5) Stir into the flour mixture and mix to form a rather firm dough.
  • 6) Knead the dough on a floured board until smooth on the outer surface.
  • 7) Roll out the dough 1/2 inch thick, line and press the dough into the pizza plate, then dot with butter.
  • 8) Filling : In a skillet, saute the minced steak in oil until it changes colour.
  • 9) Transfer to a plate and allow the meat to cool.
  • 10) In a bowl, combine the tomatoes, anchovies, onion, garlic, celery, parsley, cheese and cooked meat together; mix thoroughly.
  • 11) Spread this meat mixture evenly over the pizza shell.
  • 12) Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until the filling is cooked and the crust brown.
  • SERVING
  • 13) Slice the Pizza Milano into wedges and serve piping hot.
