INGREDIENTS

½ cup moong dal; ½ cup month
1/2 cup dried peas
1/4 cups urad dal
2 cups rice; 6 cloves
2 small cinnamon sticks
12 peppercorns
a pinch of asafetida
6 green chillies (ground)
a small piece of ginger (ground)
1 1/2 tsps sugar; salt to taste
2 tblsps oil
fresh coconut; coriander leaves

METHOD

Soak ingredients from moong dal to uracl dal overnight. and allow to sprout.

Soak rice for 2 hours. Heat oil, and add cloves, cinnamon, black pepper and asafoetida. Next, add the sprouted lentils and rice (drained). Put in 5 cups water, green chillies, ginger, salt and sugar. Cook in a pressure cooker till done. Garnish with grated coconut and coriander leaves.
