  1. Refined flour (sieved) 1 cup
  2. Almonds (chopped) 50 grams
  3. Pistachios (chopped) 50 grams
  4. Desiccated coconut 1 cup
  5. Sugar 1 cup
  6. Castor sugar ½ cup
  7. Coconut milk powder ½ cup
  8. Currants 50 grams
  9. Baking soda ¼ tsp
  10. Salt 1 pinch
  11. Oil 4tbsp +
  12. For frying
  13. Water as required
Method
  • 1.Mix flour,salt soda, 2tbsp oil and water and knead into dough. Cover and set aside for ½ hour.
  • 2.Cook 2 tbsp oil, desiccated coconut, sugar, coconut milk powder, currents, almonds, 3.pistachios and castor sugar in a part for few minutes and remove from flame.
  • Make small balls from dough; roll them out. Place 1 tbsp of prepared mixture in the middle of each; fold over from all sides into pouches.
  • 4. Heat oil in a pot; fry sweet puriyan till golden; remove on absorbent paper.
