Ingredients
  1. 250 grms white sesame
  2. 250 grms jaggery
  3. 1 tblsp ghee
Method
  • Clean the sesame. Fry it in an iron kadai until light brown. Set aside in a thali. In the same Lidai pour in the ghee and jaggery. If the jaggery is dry, add 1 tablespoon water. Stir constantly a low fire until the jaggery dissolves and starts bubbling. Add the roasted sesame, mix quickly and remove in fire. Pour this mixture onto a greased thali. Cut small square pieces. and store in a tin when cool. Roasted peanuts. roasted gram dal. And grated dry nut can also be used instead of sesame to prepare variety of sanklis. Or all four may be -used together mixed sankli.
