Tomato Chatni

INGREDIENTS

Oil as desired
1 can of diced Tomatoes
1 inch piece of ginger-crushed(adrak)
4-5 cloves of garlic-crushed(lehsan)
1-2 branches of Curry leaves(curry patta)
3/4 tea spoons(tsp) each of cumin seeds and mustard(Rai) seeds
Salt 1tea spoon or according to taste
1 tsp (heaped) Coriander powder(dhania)
1 tsp Red chili powder(lal mairch)
1/4 tsp turmeric powder(haldi)
8-10 green chilies (slice them) or whole fresh round red chilies
1 Onion-thinly sliced

METHOD

Put oil in pan and add onion

Add cumin and mustard seeds

Add curry leaves, crushed ginger and garlic

Cook for a while and then serve

It stays good in fridge for a long time

IMPORTANT NOTES:

No need to brown the onion just when it softens add the dry spices, tomatoes and green chilies.
