Ingredients
  1. Dates 1 cup
  2. Sugar ¾ cup
  3. Refined flour 1 ½ cups
  4. Butter 1 15 gram
  5. Walnuts ½ cup
  6. Egg 3
  7. Salt 1 pinch
  8. Baking powder 1 ½ tsp
  9. Vanilla essence 1 tsp
  10. Water ½ cup
Method
  • • Beat butter and sugar in a bowl with an electric beater; mix in egg and dates
  • • Add essence and salt; add sieved flour and baking powder, and beat
  • • Add walnut, mix
  • • Grease cake mould with butter; pour mixture and set evenly
  • • Bake in a pre heated oven at 180C for 40 minutes and remove
