Ingredients
  1. White beans ½ kg
  2. Olive oil 1 tbsp
  3. Sausages 2
  4. Onion ½ (chopped)
  5. Garlic cloves 4 (chopped)
  6. Rosemary 1 tbsp
  7. Red chilli 1 tbsp (crushed)
  8. Honey 2 tbsp
  9. Tomato paste ¼ cup
  10. 15oz can of crushed tomatoes or tomato sauce (1)
  11. Chicken stock 2 cups
  12. Salt to taste
  13. Fresh parsley ½ cup (chopped)
  14. Balsamic vinegar 2 tbsp
Method
  • Soak the beans over night and boil next day.
  • In oil sauté the onions and sausages.
  • Add the garlic cloves, crushed red chillies and rose marry and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  • Then add the honey and tomato paste.
  • Stir well to combine.
  • Add the crushed tomatoes or tomato sauce and chicken stock and bring to simmer.
  • Add salt and cook for a minute.
  • Before serving, gently stir in the chopped parsley and balsamic vinegar.
  • Serve hot.
