Television, from the outset, has held great appeal for everyone. In Pakistan, the advent of 21st century heralded enhanced dependence on television, not just for entertainment but also for news and information about global events and happening. To meet the augmented viewer demands, the number of private entertainment and news channels has been multiplying eversince. Although, the continuous addition of news channels cannot undermine the significance of print media, however efficiency of electronic media to promptly disseminate news and information has bade if a preferred option for many. Just like mechanization did not render manual labour redundant or for that matter computerization did not reduce need for manpower, news channels on the electronic media, contrary to general belief, have not made any adverse effect on the print media. Infact readership of all newspapers of Khabrain Group is constantly on the rise. However, to equip ourselves with futuristic demands, TV channel was inevitable. We had planned our latest product "Channel-5" but were awaiting for the opportune moment to launch it. Moreover, Khabrain Group has invariably retained uniqueness in each of its products and Channel-5 was not going to be any exception. Shunning the hackneyed pattern adopted by every other channel is part of our planning. That too has been time consuming but we are indebted to the Almighty Allah for granting us the vision and creativity to present our TV Channel with a novel style |
