Islam is the religion of peace
and humanity; and all the teachings of Islam are for the welfare of mankind
itself. Allah has called Islam the religion of all the beings in the universe;
thus it looks after the interests of every thing in this world be it humans or
animals. It teaches us to worship, seek, and pray only Almighty Allah, no other
thing, idol or person is worshiped. Allah has taught ways to us for offering our
prayers in the form of solah (namaz), fasting (saum), hajj, zakat, and jihad.
Muslim never seeks anyone but Allah who is the most forgiving and the most
merciful. All the prophets and messengers who came preached Islam, although the
rules were a little different in those times; the whole message and teachings of
Islam completed on Hazrat Muhammad S.A.W. After him no messenger or prophet will
be sent by Allah, He is the last prophet of Allah, and the teachings by Hazrat
Muhammad S.A.W. are the complete teachings of Islam.
The society which Islam creates is one in which every person is willing to help
his fellowmen, and there is no distinction among them, no one is superior on the
other, only their good deeds matter.
Islam gives the basic rules to follow for every walk of life, be it business or
relations, behavior or trade; it keeps a balance in the society, encourages
earning by positive means and spending on halal needs. It discourages the
factors of misery, overspending and showing off. Islam has a natural source of
flowing of money from the rich to the poor in the form of zakat payments.
Islam gives a complete life style to a human being, guiding in relationship
matters. For example the children are to obey their parents, treat them nicely,
serve them politely and never say a harsh word to them. Similarly Islam holds a
teacher in high esteem; and titles them as spiritual parents. In return parents
and teachers are also guided to treat their children nicely, instruct them to
follow the right path. Education and character building go hand in hand. The
neighbors have great responsibilities among themselves that they do not harm
each other in any sense, nor cause any serious disturbance and help out each
other.
In Islam the life and property of every person is precious, no one is allowed to
exploit or harm other unlawfully whether be an authoritative person or a beggar.
It teaches us to prepare ourselves for the Day of Judgment by doing the right
deeds and please Allah.
