Pertaining to the performance of Hajj 2021, the Saudi Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Abdul Fattah Mashat, on Wednesday has said that this year the Kingdom does not intend to call off the Hajj pilgrimage.
While addressing a meeting with Maulana Tahir Ashrafi, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Religious Harmony, in Makkah.
The minister said the Kingdom has started making arrangements to hold this year’s Hajj pilgrimage with Covid-19 safety protocols. All possible steps are being taken to facilitate pilgrims, he said.
He maintained that Covid-19 vaccination is mandatory for people intending to perform the annual Hajj pilgrimage this year.
Moreover, Maulana Ashrafi acknowledged the Saudi government’s measures for pilgrims and said the relations between Saudia Arabia and Pakistan are based on brotherly ties, sharing mutual benefits.
