LAHORE - In a startling revelation on Thursday, former prime minister Mian Nawaz Sharif got first dose of Covid vaccine on September 22 (last Wednesday) from Kot Khawaja Saeed Hospital in Lahore though he left Pakistan for the UK in November 2019 and is still residing there.

The health officials, however, termed it a fake entry made in the official record of the National Immunisation Management System.

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar took notice of the false entry of corona vaccination at Kot Khawaja Saeed Hospital and sought a report from the health secretary within 48 hours. He also directed that action be initiated against those responsible for the oversight. Following the chief minister’s directions, the Punjab Health Department wrote a letter to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to investigate the matter and take necessary action against the persons responsible for it.
