Twenty one new COVID-19 cases confirmed at Tokyo Olympics

According to Baltimore, Maryland's Johns Hopkins University, which tracks and compiles data on the pandemic, the total number of COVID-19 cases stands at over 197 million globally, while the death toll has surpassed 4.2 million worldwide.

The United States, India, and Brazil are reportedly the three worst-hit countries amid the pandemic: the US has registered almost 35 million infected and over 613,000 deaths; at the same time, India has 31.5 million cases and 423,000 dead, while Brazil has the second-highest death toll, 555,000, and over 19.8 million infected.
