Turkey and Israel to form amicable ties after four-years

Israel and Turkey will re-elect ambassadors after four years of immense silence from both sides. The two emerging power in their region had dismissed their ambassadors in 2018 over an unresolved Palestinians dispute where 60 lives were killed by the Israeli forces during a protest on the Gaza border. The protest that took place was the result of the opening of a US embassy in Jerusalem.� �

In a telephonic conversation with the prime minister and Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan. Yair Lapid, Israeli Prime Minister said that both countries have decided to regain diplomatic relations. Lapid said it was decided that the relationship is to improve diplomatically and hence, ambassadors and consuls general should be returned.

Israeli President, Isaac Herzog visited Turkey in March and helped to enhance more of bilateral cooperation. Mevlut Cavusoglu, Turkish Foreign Minister said the step of appointing ambassadors is a step toward normalization. Further, he said, a positive step in Isreal had made us appoint an ambassador to Isreal in Tel Aviv. .
