گردشِ زیست کو پھر اپنی ہی تصویر کیا
ہائے اے عشق تری راہ میں دیکھو اکثر
حسرت دید سے ہر خواب کو تعبیر کیا
چڑھتے سورج کی شعاؤں کو اتارا خود میں
منظر صبح کو پھر آنکھ کی تنویر کیا
کیسے نکلو مری جان حصارِ دل سے
تیری یادوں کو اگر پاؤں کی زنجیر کیا
ہو بھی سکتے ہیں یہ مسمار وفا کے جزبے
قصرِ الفت کو اگر دل میں نہ تعمیر کیا
میں نے خود کی نگاہوں سے بچا کر وشمہ
خود کو لیلی ، کبھی شیریں ، کبھی ہیر کی
