TECHELITE 2010 – MORE THAN A SUCCESS

One of the biggest benefits of Information Technology is that it empowers people to do what they want to do. It allows people to be creative and productive. It permits them to learn things they didn't think they could learn before, and so in a sense it is all about potential. TechELITE, gives an opportunity to the future engineers to compete and demonstrate their proficiency and potential in their respective fields of IT.

TechELITE is hosted by CIS department of NED University of Engineering and Technology and it is getting substantial with the pace of time. Inaugurated in 2007 with only 20 universities and 270 students participating, the number of competing universities has increased to 30 and the students to 351, to endeavor in the race for excellence to reach the utmost pinnacle. With 4000-5000 spectators and an efficient and impartial jury the students are judged fairly on the basis of their potential and aptitude.

TechELITE invites the students from different Engineering Universities of Pakistan to display their expertise in the following four fields of IT sector:

Speed Programming Competition:

"Do you enjoy solving tough problems and grappling with technical challenges?"

If yes then NED University of Engineering and Technology is organizing a Speed Programming competiton in which student programmers from all over Pakistan are asked to solve complex algorithmic challenges in a limited amount of time. The contestents from all over Pakistan are provided with a bunch of challenging problems.

Network Management Competition: It was initiated as Network Security Competition in TechElite’08 and then named as “Network Management Competition” in TechElite’09. Network management refers to the activities, methods, procedures, and tools that pertain to the operation, administration, maintenance, and provisioning of networked systems.This competition aims to test participant’s knowledge and capabilities to design, manage, monitor, configure and troubleshoot a network.

Software Project Competitions:The Software Project Competition provides a wide platform to students from all over Pakistan to display their software projects.The projects will be judged by a team of experts, providing participants with valuable experience of real-world evaluation.It will expose students to creative and logical thinking and encourage their talents in developing software to provide logical solutions to problems.The aim of Software Competition is to provide participants with a stepping stone for the furtherance of their educational and career prospects.

Software Modeling and Design Competition: TechElite, For the first time in Pakistan, is providing this unique platform to all the participants to show their software designing and analytical skills. Modeling and Designing is the core of software engineering. It guarantees the maintenance and correct functioning of the software. This combines best practices, platform independence, and extensibility into a common language for modeling complex software solutions. On this platform we will encourage students from all over Pakistan and will test their skills from different perspective of software design. The competition will mainly focus on specification and design stages of software development cycle.


TechELITE provides the participants with a valuable experience which cultivates an increment in their talent as well as encourages creativity and builds innovation. In a world of augmentation of Information Technology TechELITE provides a platform for these emerging minds to share their innovative ideas with the professionals in a complaisant manner.
