Raja Basharat says research cells being set up in Punjab Assembly Lahore - Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar and Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Parvez Elahi held an important meeting in the Punjab Assembly on Thursday in the chamber of Punjab Law Minister Raja Basharat. The meeting reviewed the ongoing proceedings of the Assembly regarding the budget and worked out a strategy for the approval of the budget. The chief minister and the speaker appreciated efforts of Raja Basharat in enacting record legislation in the present era and hoped that more principal legislation would be enacted in the coming years in the larger interest of the people of the province. Raja Basharat informed the chief minister that research cells were being set up in the Punjab Assembly and at the Law and Parliamentary Affairs Department to streamline the legislative process and provide guidance to the members of the Assembly in this regard. The CM said a record development programme worth Rs.560 billion had been announced for the first time and regretted that opposition was showing its enmity with the people by criticising a public-friendly budget. The conspiracies of political jugglers have been frustrated jointly and the PTI will continue to collectively work with its allies for providing relief to the people. There is the best working relationship with PML-Q and the allied party is taking along on every occasion, he said. Also, Usman Buzdar said PDM has been divided while both PTI and PML-Q will continue to remain on the same page. The opposition hatched conspiracies but faced defeat on every occasion; he added and further said the alliance was moving forward by leaving behind the conspirators.
