Pakistan reports 1,050 COVID cases, 37 deaths in 24 hours

Pakistan has reported 37 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 948,268.

The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 21,977 on Friday. 

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 1,050 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. 

Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths and cases followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. 

344,970 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab,331,659 in Sindh,136,973 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 82,344 in Islamabad, 26,585 in Balochistan, 19,934 in Azad Kashmir and 5,803 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Pakistan has so far conducted 14,113,670 coronavirus tests and 41,065 in the last 24 hours.
