Chip design centres being established in eight public-sector universities of Punjab

In Punjab, chip design centres are being established in the eight public-sector universities.

While talking to Radio Pakistan Bahawalpur Correspondent Sajjad Parvez, Vice Chancellor Islamia University, Bahawalpur Prof Dr. Athar Mahboob said that his university is also among these eight public-sector universities of the province to get chip design centres.

He said that with the establishment of these centers, Pakistan will gain a prominent position in this technology at the global level, especially in electronics.

He expressed hope that with the help of these courses, the students will receive training in commercial-grade, Integrated Circuits and Design and their verification tools.

The Vice Chancellor said that students will be fully prepared to work in the domestic and foreign Information Technology market and find employment easily as integrated circuit chip technology has revolutionized the world of computers and electronics.
