More than a year and a half after Apple announced it would release a wireless charger capable of powering up an iPhone, Apple Watch and Air Pods, Apple on Friday said it had admitted its defeat. Apple declared in an email that the air power could not meet the hardware standards of the company and therefore they are cancelling the air power officially. The email from Apple SVP said that “After much effort, we’ve concluded Airpower will not achieve our high standards and we have canceled the project. We apologize to those customers who were looking forward to this launch. We continue to believe that the future is wireless and are committed to pushing the wireless experience forward.” |

The structure would have been like this: Air power has been announced after the iPhone X in 2018, it would have different coils to charge the iPhone, air pods and apple watches and you don’t need to find a right spot for charging your apple devices. Furthermore, it would transpire all the charging products and show the charged percentage on the iPhone. I guess Apple was too excited for its own good for this one. The engineers were facing the heat problem in the air power charger due to multiple coils. Basically apple couldn’t solve this heat problem of the charging device which led to fail the wireless charger. Apple past failures: We have seen more than a few rough launches which failed when it comes to Apple products. For starters, Air Pods, when initially announced, took months to ship. The wireless case for the Air Pods was announced in 2017 and has only started shipping a few months ago. Then the butterfly keyboard on the Mac Book Pro, which had faulty E and R keys, Apple still hasn’t done much to solve the problem and hasn’t posted a formal apology to its users either.
