Moreover, Eui-Suk Chung, who is the executive vice president of Samsung, told reporters that Bixby is equipped to recognize user’s voice. Which means many users will be able to interact with virtual personal assistant and get intelligent response depending on person’s preferences.
This news is probably welcomed by those who have used Bixby in Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy S8 line. While Samsung has admitted that first-gen Bixby needs some improvements and even done a few updates in Samsung Galaxy S9, such as real-time translation, it is yet far behind Amazon Alexa, which is still a market leader. While Samsung will not offer Bixby 2.0 in S9 that is slated to release on 16th, March, which does not mean it will not come to handset.
