Chinese Giant Xiaomi Starts Rolling out Android Pie update for Mi A2 Lite

Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite has reportedly been started receiving the Android Pie OS update, according to an XDA Developers report.

A user in Poland identified this, and update comes two weeks after the Android Pie beta program for this phone was started.

The Android Pie update comes with the November Android security patch, as well as in-phone modifications.

The latest version Android Pie OS will bring features such as Adaptive brightness, App Actions and Adaptive battery to Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite.

This device is part of the Android One programme; users will continue to receive updates that bring them stock Android experience.

Talking about Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite, it was launched in July 2018. The device also gets FM Radio feature through this upgrade.

While the change log, having a file size of 1002.8MB, does not mention other fixes, Xiaomi users would experience smoother performance after the upgrade. The OTA upgrade can be checked by going through Settings > About Phone > System Updates > Check for Updates.

About Xiaomi Mi2 Lite

Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite sports a 5.4-inch Full HD+ screen display with a notch on top, and a screen aspect ratio of 19:9. This phone runs amazingly fast with the Snapdragon 625 processor, and is backed by a 4000mAh massive battery.

Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite comes with 3GB/4GB RAM, internal memory options of 32GB and 64GB, and micro SD card support for expandable memory up to 256 GB. There will be Face Unlock along with rear mounted fingerprint scanner.

Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite sports a dual rear configuration that is vertically stacked. There is a combination of a 12MP primary camera and a 5MP secondary camera on this phone, with an LED flash module between these sensors. It also features a 5MP front camera. Talking about Indian market, the Redmi 6 Pro was launched with similar specifications as the Mi A2 Lite.
