Vivo just launched a new Smartphone in its Y series which is vivo Y17. The Smartphone is packed with a large 5000 mAh battery, a good sizeable screen and a glass like back design. Let’s have a look at this new spin in the market.
Design and Built Quality:
Vivo y17 has a nice big size appearance; it is quite thick and firm in gripping because of the large battery. The rounded edges let the phone to be handled comfortably. There are slightly thin bezels along with the screen and at the top of the screen, there’s a notch residing the front selfie camera.
The back of the phone shows an imitation of glass finish when in real, it is plastic. The glossy plastic rear is prone to smudges and fingerprints so do use the clear case Vivo has provided in the box if you’d like to keep your phone pristine.

The fingerprint sensor resides at the upper center besides the triple rear cameras.
The top of the Smartphone is plain but the bottom has the 3.5mm headphone jack, a microphone, a micro USB port, and the single downward-firing speaker.
Cameras:
Vivo y17 has triple rear camera system at the back namely 13MP+8MP+2MP shooting cameras while there’s a 20MP selfie shooter is present in the notch residing in the front. The LED flash is located at the bottom of the back cameras.
The selfies are more than good enough for posting on the social media as the phone contains AI beauty mode which enables the shooter to change the filters and which makes the selfies look processed to its maximum but also natural.

Daytime shots produced by the rear cameras capture vibrant colors. There’s no dedicated Portrait mode, but there is a button on the standard Photo mode that allows you to do just that. Vivo y17 is capable of shooting a video at a wide angle which pretty much amazing.
Display:
The vivo Y17 carries a 6.35-inch HD+ IPS display. It has a maximum resolution of 720p, but still, the details because of which, it comes out looking crisp and sharp. The color reproduction is quite vivid and accurate and the user can also change the temperature of the display to warm or cool.

The audio quality is quite decent as it gives out a normal voice audio with a single speaker.
Biometrics:
The biometrics of vivo y17 gives quick results. You are getting face ID and fingerprint sensor in the Smartphone and both of them perform very well.
Performance:
Talking about its performance, the phone runs on a media tek helio p35 which gives it a cool performance platform. It is powered by an android pie fun touch 9 OS system for a better performance. It has a 128 GB built-in memory along with 4GB which is fair enough for the day to day usage.
Conclusion:
The Vivo Y17 has its pros up its sleeve, such as its incredible battery life, bright display, modest camera quality, and that sweet wide-angle camera quality. On the downside, however, it still has a micro USB port, graphics-intensive games lag, and video playback can only go up to a maximum of 720p. We do feel like the Y17 is a little overpriced for what it offers. But still the company offers a great phone and specs.
