The successor device to the original Honor Magic was speculated by the
company towards the end of August at IFA 2018; however, nothing is
official about the unveiling date. In order to confirm about the new
coming device, a new poster has been rotating online that confirms the
unveiling of the smart phone on October 26.
The new upcoming smart phone will unsurprisingly be called the Magic 2.
It will introduce a new all-screen design that simply includes a small
bezel towards the bottom of the panel. Elsewhere, the bezels are
essentially absent.

This is achieved thanks to a new sliding mechanism that allows the
front-facing camera to pop out from the top of the device, mimicking the
design of the Oppo Find X.
Aside from the design, the
Honor Magic 2 also incorporates some
impressive features and specs such as a new in-display fingerprint
scanner. Moreover, much like Huawei’s upcoming Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro,
the new Honor Magic 2 will be powered by the Kirin 980 chipset which is
based on the 7-nanometer process.
The most spectacular thing on the device will be Huawei’s fast charge
technology which is expected to provide up to 40 watt of power.
Presently, it’s uncertain how much the new
Honor Magic 2 will cost but
reports have pointed towards a price tag of around PKR 73911. This does
seem pretty economical considering the amount of technology the smart
phone incorporates, but it would coincide with Honor’s typical pricing
strategy. |
