Huawei’s sub-brand, Honor is expected to be following the footsteps of VIVO and OPPO, as it is all set to launch its latest smart phone based on Huawei Kirin 980 chipset. There is nothing much can be extracted from the teaser, however, it clearly mentions that the device will be launched on the same date Nubia will be launching Nubia X, i.e. on 31st October 2018. The teaser also makes it evident that it will feature with a slider design with 100 percent screen to body ratio. The selfie camera is hidden with a sliding mechanism.

Honor is not the initial or second brand to feature with this new technology. Similar technology was witnessed in VIVO Nex, and OPPO Find X. However, Honor’s use of technology is unique and different as slider will be opened manually.

President of Honor, Zhao Ming stated in a recent interview that the Honor Magic 2 slider mechanisms will have a bit of AI features integrated, even though he hasn’t delved into details.

According to the latest information, the Honor Magic 2, and Huawei Mate 20 will feature Huawei‘s latest Kirin 980chipset. The rear fingerprint sensor will be swapped for an on-screen fingerprint scanner. The Honor Magic 2 is widely expected to feature a triple rear camera setup, with an improved battery life along with a 40W super-fast charging technology.
