Infinix GT 50 Pro Is Bringing Console-Style Gaming Features to Pakistan

Gaming phones always promise raw power, but keeping temperatures under control is where things usually fall apart. That’s the exact issue Infinix seems to be targeting with the upcoming Infinix GT 50 Pro, which is officially launching in Pakistan on May 15.

After teasing the device for days, Infinix has finally confirmed the launch timeline, and since the phone is already available globally, most of its hardware details are already out in the open. The GT 50 Pro looks heavily focused on gaming performance, cooling, and low-latency gameplay instead of simply chasing flashy specs on paper.

And honestly, the cooling setup might be the most interesting part of this phone.

HydroFlow Cooling: Infinix’s Most Ambitious Thermal Setup Yet

img

Infinix is introducing a new HydroFlow cooling system on the GT 50 Pro for the first time. Tiny liquid-filled pipes spread across a 6,437mm² area inside the device, covering components that usually heat up during gaming sessions.

The company says the phone also carries its largest vapor chamber yet at 7700mm². Together, both systems are meant to keep the Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chipset under control even during heavy gaming loads.

What makes this setup stand out is that Infinix isn’t relying on passive cooling alone.

The Magnetic Cooler Twist Nobody Expected

img

The GT MagCharge Cooler 2.0 adds another layer to the experience. It works as both a TEC cooling accessory and a wireless charger at the same time.

The cooler can deliver 12W TEC cooling while simultaneously pushing 15W wireless charging to the phone. Since the GT 50 Pro doesn’t have built-in magnetic support, users will need the magnetic case for the accessory to attach properly.

That combination could be especially useful for players who spend hours on titles like PUBG Mobile or Call of Duty Mobile, where thermal throttling usually starts affecting frame rates after extended sessions.

Dimensity 8400 Ultimate Takes Center Stage

At the heart of the GT 50 Pro sits MediaTek’s Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chipset. It uses an all-big-core architecture with clock speeds reaching 3.25GHz.

Graphics duties are handled by the Mali-G720 MC7 GPU, which should comfortably support high refresh rate gaming and demanding titles.

Interestingly, Infinix appears to be building an entire gaming ecosystem around the chip instead of simply dropping in a powerful processor and calling it a day. The cooling hardware, shoulder triggers, latency-focused networking, and external accessories all seem designed to work together.

A 144Hz AMOLED Display Built for Competitive Gaming

The phone carries a 6.78-inch flat AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution at 1208 x 2644 pixels.

Brightness reaches 1600 nits in HBM mode, which should help outdoor visibility significantly. Competitive players will likely appreciate the flat panel design too since curved displays can sometimes lead to accidental touches during gaming.

Shoulder Triggers Return for Console-Like Controls

Gaming phones are slowly bringing back hardware-focused features, and the GT 50 Pro is joining that trend with shoulder triggers built directly into the frame.

These triggers can reportedly be customized for functions outside games too, which adds a bit more flexibility instead of limiting them to gaming alone.

That small detail may actually matter more than expected because physical triggers still offer a faster response compared to touchscreen controls in shooters and racing titles.

Big Battery, Wireless Charging, and Faster Connectivity

The global version of the GT 50 Pro comes in two battery variants, though Pakistan will likely receive the larger 6500mAh model with 45W wired charging support.

The phone also supports 30W wireless charging officially, which is still relatively uncommon in this segment.

Connectivity could also become one of its strongest selling points. Infinix has added an N1 network chip alongside WiFi 6 support to improve latency and connection stability during online gaming.

Cameras and Software Still Matter Here

Even though gaming is the main focus, Infinix hasn’t ignored the cameras completely.

The GT 50 Pro uses a 50MP main sensor alongside a secondary 8MP ultrawide shooter. On the front, there’s a 13MP selfie camera. Software-wise, the phone launches with Android 16 and promises three years of OS updates.

The Real Battle Starts With the Price Tag

Right now, the only missing detail is Infinix GT 50 Pro price in Pakistan. And that might decide everything for Pakistani users.

The GT 50 Pro already looks packed with features that gaming-focused users usually want, but if Infinix manages to price it aggressively, this device could become a serious threat in Pakistan’s upper midrange gaming market. Especially at a time when dedicated gaming phones are becoming increasingly rare.
