Infinix S4 Hands On Review

Infinix has launched yet another budget phone goal under a tag of 22,999 PKR. As the successor of S3, the Infinix S4 is doing a marvelous job in attracting customers due to its triple camera setup and 4000 mAh battery. It is reportedly the only phone in town to offer such specs under 23,000 PKR. So let’s take a close up shot and discover if the phone is really worth the praise.

Let’s start from the phone box contents. As we open the lid, a TPU case screen protector, warranty card, micro USB cable, ear phones and a power brick of 10 watts greets us.

But as we pick the phone itself, the glossy gradient over the back lures us. This device is available in 3 colors.
• Space Gray
• Nebula Blue
• Twilight Purple

We had a hands-on experience of Infinix S4 in Twilight purple color and its beauty just held us captive.

There are triple camera setup on rear panel along with finger print scanner and Face ID, both sharing their parts among many premium features.

Infinix is indeed a budget device but it doesn’t speak that way. When in hands, the Infinix S4 appears anything but a budget phone. It’s a clear big deal with a trail of premium features.

Design + Display

Along super sparkly gradient on the back, there are 3 cameras on the rear panel which instantly catches the eye. The Dual 2.5D Glass Body Design sits visually perfect with every other element in appearance panel. Coming to display, the 6.2 inch big screen is charming enough, combined with the HD+ display quality and with the resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels. There’s a water drop notch on front. The display quality is satisfying and the content readability is even better in both home and out in sunlight.

Security + Privacy

In the new Infinix S4, both fingerprint reader and face ID are available. Finger print sensor is a bit slow but accurate in performance but the Face ID was always quick and accurate.

Battery

The big battery of 4000 mAh is present inside the S4 however it does not support fast charging and takes 2 hours to get fully boosted up. On screen time expands up to 10 hours which is something extra worthy under its price range.

Performance

64GB ROM and 4GB RAM is available in the Infinix S4. Last but not the least, the chipset inside the Infinix S4 is Mediatek Helio P22 which is common in entry level smartphones. The OS is pretty colorful and there’s Cheetah 5.0 which runs Android Pie. Talking about gaming experience, you will find PUBG (on basic graphic settings) running all smooth and motivating on S4 however you might face some frame drops in the Asphalt 9.

Camera Performance

Starting from rear cameras, the triple AI camera setup includes a main sensor of 13MP, a wide lens of 120 Degree and a depth sensor of 2 MP. IF you are capturing images in good lights, you will love the image results. Though not capable of capturing tiniest detail but it will provide you with a much better and decent image result. However in lowlights, the image result might lose some details but the overall result is still satisfying. Under a price tag of 23,000 PKR, such features assembled together are rare to find and luckily Infinix S4 is keeping strong pace with progress. Don’t worry, even the lowlight image results will not disappoint you if not entertain.

As of video quality, it’s all decent and 1080p ranging. Since Infinix is not offering any stabilization, a few jerks may occur in your experience.

And the USP of Infinix S4, the 32 MP AI selfie camera is super brilliant in performance and delivers out some truly satisfying results (if captured in good lights). You can even open beautification mode to keep the image result close to natural. Rest assured the colors and details picked by the camera are all nice if not really perfect. Bokeh mode is another a good-shot performing asset.

So if you are obsessive about cameras, good looks and currently sorting some efficient budget devices then have a look at - Empower the infinity in you with Infinix S4.
