The name of MediaTek does not need any introduction. However, it is the fourth biggest fabless manufacturing company in the entire world. Recently, Rami Osman, the director of MediaTek, reveals the company’s future growth plans in Pakistan. “Pakistan is a rising global market with many multinationals including MediaTek seeing potential growth in it regarding Mobile phones, Consumer Electronics, and other Smart Products.”, said Mr. Rami Osman.

He further said, “Pakistan has a good growth potential accelerating migration from 2G Feature Phones to 4G Smartphones with a population of over 200M and around 12M unit smartphone market annually. However, we’ll work to support this smartphone acceleration in two domains. First to bring more flagship phones to the market with the help of Smartphone brands such as Infinix, RealMe, Xiaomi, and others with MediaTek Helio G Series emphasizing on Mobile Gaming. Secondly, we would work with Telecom Operators on network support for the latest 4G technology such as Voice over LTE (VoLTE) and KaiOS Digit 4G Smart Feature Phone.”
Mr. Rami Osman highlighted the start of a new gaming era in the country with the MediaTek Helio G Series. The gaming-focused MediaTek Helio G95 which aims at premium users includes the G90 series, G85, G80, G70, G35, and G25 chips. The best part about these chipsets is that they feature MediaTek HyperEngine Game Technology to deliver sustained performance and longer gameplay.
When talking about MediaTek Helio G95, the processor offers several amazing features such as advanced multi-camera photography with an inbuilt AI processing unit (APU). It is equipped with an ultra-low-power, always-on DSP that provides concurrence between two parallel Voice Wakeup (VoW) functions without any hassle. The chipset offers appealing HDR visuals and reduces the power consumption of applications. A few months back, MediaTek also revealed 5G Integrated Dimensity 1000 chip for smartphones.
MediaTek is looking to reveal more flagship features within a reasonable price range that will eventually assist them to strengthen their position in Pakistan. The strategic partnership with local manufactures regarding smartphones and TV is also a good sign. We can hope that all these outcomes along with MediaTek HyperEngine Game Technology will bring good fortune for Pakistani consumers.
