BlackBerry has revealed its latest flagship device, KEY 2 in June 2018. This device has been launched in India last month, priced at Rs. 42, 990. Black Berry has been reportedly planning to launch a less impressive version of KEY 2 with low price tag. This device is titled, BlackBerry KEY2 LE. According to the latest news, Blackberry has sent out the invites for the IFA 2018 event in Berlin. KEY 2 LE will be officially introduced at the largest home appliances and consumer electronics exhibition.

BlackBerry KEY2 LE Will Be Launched on August 30th at IFA 2018
The official invite has been sent by BlackBerry. It although does not mention the KEY2 LE specifically, but there is a strong chance that the smart phone will be the major highlight of the company’s Berlin event on August 30, 2018. Last year, BlackBerry had unveiled the KEY One Black Edition at IFA 2017 in Berlin.
BlackBerry KEY2 LE: Leaked Features & Specifications
According to the latest rumors, the design of BlackBerry KEY2 LE will be almost identical to the BlackBerry KEY2 with a physical QWERTY keyboard on the front. Android Police indicated that the keyboard on KEY 2 LE will be more like the one on the KEY One and KEY2. Trackpad functionality will be absent from KEY2 LE, which is built in on the keyboard of KEY2. Featuring less impressive keyboard, the KEY2 LE will sport an identical IPS LCD display of 4.5-inches screen having 1080 x 1620 pixel resolutions as the KEY2.
As far as the processing power is concerned, BlackBerry KEY2 LE will be powered by Octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor clocked at 1.8 GHz along with Aderno 509 GPU. Blackberry KEY2 in comparison, is powered by an Octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset, offering superior processing power along with high quality graphics performance as compared to KEY2 LE’s processing power. Even though the Snapdragon 636 is a very impressive chipset, normally it is fitted inside the budget friendly devices and not the mid range devices.
BlackBerry will be offering the smartphone in two memory configurations – 4GB RAM + 32GB storage variant, and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant.

Dual rear camera set up will be there on your BlackBerry KEY2 LE with a 13MP + 5MP, as opposed to the 12MP + 12MP setup on the KEY2. The front-facing camera feature will likely see a downgrade as well, although the exact resolution is not known yet.
As far as the connectivity features are concerned, BlackBerry KEY2 LE is expected to come with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, and 4G LTE. There will be a fingerprint sensor and a USB Type –C port. Battery capacity will be of 3000 mAh well supported by fast charging facility. KEY 2 on the other hand packs a larger 3500 mAh capacity with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. BlackBerry KEY2 LE is expected to ship with the Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box. |
