OnePlus 6T New York launch event — It looks like the global release of the upcoming OnePlus smartphone has been rescheduled. The OnePlus 6T is now scheduled to launch on October 29, which is surprisingly a day before the previous unveiling date.
According to the company, the rescheduling was necessary as the previous launch date would have been “overshadowed by Apple”. The launch of Apple’s new smartphone is dated to unveil on October 30.

Earlier on October 8, OnePlusrevealed the unveiling date of the OnePlus 6T as October 30 at various launch events in New York and New Delhi. However, on Thursday this week, Apple sent invites its own unveiling event in Brooklyn, New York for the same date. The company is expected to announce the new Mac models and iPad.
“When we announced the launch of the OnePlus 6T on October 8, we were convinced our timing would allow us to maximise the amount of people we could reach with our message. That changed when Apple announced they would be hosting their own event on October 30,” Pete Lau, the CEO of OnePlus wrote in a forum post while announcing the rescheduled date of the OnePlus 6T launch.
The OnePlus 6T launch event will now begin at 11am on October 29.
Additionally, the India launch of OnePlus 6T seems to be unchanged. David Y, the Community Manager of the same forum revealed that theOnePlus 6T India launch event will begin at 8:30 pm on October 30, as scheduled.
