2018 has been regarded as the year of Chinese smart phones. Among others, Oppo and Huawei grabbed the interest of the spectators and clinched prominent position in the market.
Both the companies have released a fair amount of smart phones within minimum intervals all having bezel-less displays and spectacular features.
Oppo F9 and Huawei Y9 2019 are two of such offerings.
Both devices come as mid-rangers and both are feature packed devices that come at affordable prices.
Talking about Oppo A7, it is available in Pakistan for Rs 39,999 whereas Huawei Y9 (2019) comes at Rs 37,999.
Being quiet similar to each other in terms of specifications, and price, we decided to let the two giants battle out in every aspect to prove which one is better.
Display
HUAWEI Y9 2019 sports a big notched display and beefy specs, a flashy gradient finish. There is a large 6.5-inch Full HD+ display which makes it ideal for watching HD videos in landscape vision, and perfect for media consumption.
Talking about the Oppo A7, it has a big 6.2-inch Full HD+ display with a gradient finish that makes it the ideal device for watching videos playing high-graphic games, and viewing media.
There is minor difference in the screen size of both devices. Huawei Y9 (2019) have an edge over OPPO A7.
Camera
As far as the camera specifications are concerned, Huawei Y9 (2019) takes a step forward and offers four AI cameras for dedicated photography lovers.
The rear-facing dual camera setup features 16MP main +2MP depth sensors that are used for blurring the background. Low light picture results are pretty decent in terms of color saturation, and image exposure. On the front there is dual camera set up which comprises of 13MP main sensor and 2MP depth lens sensors. Bokeh effect is present on both back and front camera.
On the other hand, Oppo A7 also comes with brilliant artificial intelligence (AI) cameras that work best in quickly adjusting to the surroundings. The low light pictures come out decently with vibrant color saturation. The back dual camera setup sports 13MP main +2MP depth sensors that are used for blurring the surroundings and focusing on the object or face(s) that are the main focus of the picture.
The front camera comprises of 16MP lens which works excellently in creating Instagram-worthy selfies.
In short, the back camera specs of Huawei Y9 (2019) device is better in terms of mega pixel as it comes in 16 + 2 MP. Even Huawei Y9 (2019) has two AI front cameras, whereas OPPO A7 has only one 16 MP camera.
Performance
HUAWEI Y9 2019 is powered by the new Kirin 710 processor. The device features either a 4GB or 6GB of RAM; while it sports 64GB or 128GB of built in storage, respectively. Android 8.1 Oreo comes pre-installed on the device, along with Huawei’s Emotion UI 8.2 skin. Gaming experience is perfect on this device as it can run effectively games like Need for Speed, and PUBG.
Oppo A7 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor and the device has a 4GB RAM as well as 64GB of built in storage. Android 8.1 Oreo enhances the gaming experience as it can run effectively for games.
Huawei Y9 (2019) wins the speed test with clear margin as it has much faster and effective Kirin 710 chipset. The gaming experience and multi tasking experience is much better in this device.
Battery
Huawei Y9 (2019) comes with a huge 4000mAh battery which gives you more than one day time on full charge. The device comes with fast charging support.
The Oppo A7 stores a huge 4230 mAh battery which enables it to last for more than one day of full-charge, even after playing games. The device does not come with fast-charging support. Although Huawei Y9 (2019) lacks a little behind in terms of battery power, but the fast charging support overcomes it.
Verdict
In a nut shell, Huawei with its larger screen size and notched display, four AI cameras, and Kirin 710 chipset is definitely a better choice.
