In an interview with Qualcomm China, the CEO of Oppo Chen Mingyong said that the company has started to make an appearance in the mobile terminal business and 5G era. He also said that ‘they will take the lead in targeting smart watches and smart headphones.’
He also added that the company is providing facilities and services to almost 40 countries and 250 million users in the world. The smart phones are the core of this 5G+ era and the company will soon launch the smart watches and new smart phones equipped with the Snapdragon 855 mobile platform. At the same time, OPPO plans to launch 5G smart phones in the first half of 2019.
The company is also making an open loT platform with a speed of development of AI+IoT technology, providing more facilities with the collaboration of partners giving an agreement to build IoT products and services.
