POCO has launched the Poco X8s globally. It is a compact phone with a 6.35-inch screen, a 6,330mAh battery and 100W wired charging. Early-bird prices start at $399. POCO announced the phone on X on October 25, according to AndroidPure. Xiaomi’s global product page now lists the full specs.

Poco X8s price
The 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model costs $399. The 12GB RAM and 512GB model costs $499. Both are early-bird prices.
POCO says early-bird prices vary by platform and region. Taxes can also change the final price. POCO has not shared the regular price that applies after the offer ends.
The phone comes in White, Blue, and Black.
Xiaomi’s Vietnam website shows higher prices. The 8GB/256GB model costs VND 10,990,000 (about $425). The 12GB/512GB model costs VND 13,490,000 (about $522), Notebookcheck reports. POCO has not listed which countries get the phone first. Pakistan availability is unclear for now.
Display
The Poco X8s has a 6.35-inch AMOLED screen. The resolution is 2656 x 1220. The refresh rate adjusts between 1Hz and 120Hz. POCO claims a peak brightness of up to 3,500 nits. That figure comes from its own tests. The bezels are 1.18mm thick. The screen is smaller than the Poco X8’s 6.83-inch panel, Telecompaper notes.
Performance and software
The phone runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. It is a 4nm chip with a top speed of 2.8GHz. POCO adds its 3D IceLoop cooling system, which has a 4,497mm² heat area. Both models use LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. AndroidPure points out that these are older standards. It calls the pairing odd for a $499 phone with 512GB of storage.
The phone ships with HyperOS 3 on Android 16. POCO has not said how many software updates it will get.
Cameras
The main camera is a 50MP Light Fusion 800 sensor with OIS. The sensor size is 1/1.55 inches and the aperture is f/1.77.
A 50MP telephoto camera with 2.5x optical zoom sits next to it. The third lens is an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The front camera is 20MP. Rear video goes up to 4K at 30fps, AndroidPure reports.
Battery and charging
The battery is 6,330mAh. It uses silicon-carbon cells with 16% silicon, Xiaomi says. Wired charging goes up to 100W with PPS-compatible chargers. The phone also offers 22.5W wired reverse charging.
Wireless charging is not listed.
POCO claims the battery keeps at least 80% health after 1,600 charge cycles. That claim comes from POCO’s own lab tests. Xiaomi says the charger in the box depends on the region. Ask your local seller before you buy.
Design and durability
The phone is 151.1mm tall, 71.8mm wide and 8.06mm thick. It weighs 187g. The frame is aluminium.
It has an IP68 rating. Xiaomi’s test covers 2 metres of fresh water for 30 minutes. Xiaomi advises against beach or pool use. The warranty does not cover liquid damage outside those test conditions. Other features include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, an IR blaster and Bluetooth 5.4.
The Poco X8s follows the Poco X8. That phone went global earlier at €399.99, AndroidPure reports.
